A. Pengertian Perdagangan Internasional
Perdagangan internasional merupakan suatu aktivitas berdagang yang dilakukan oleh dua negara yang berbeda. Perdagangan internasional dapat disebut pula sebagai international trade dan telah ada sejak pertengahan abad lho Grameds!

Di beberapa negara, perdagangan internasional ini menjadi salah satu faktor utama yang dapat meningkatkan Gross Domestic Product atau GDP.

B. Tujuan Perdagangan Internasional
Perdagangan internasional memiliki tujuan utama yaitu untuk meningkatkan Gross Domestic Product atau GDP, artinya perdagangan internasional bertujuan untuk meningkatkan total nilai dari produksi barang maupun jasa yang dijual oleh suatu negara pada negara lain selama satu tahun lamanya.]

1. Menaikan Devisa Negara
Tujuan yang pertama dari kebijakan perdagangan internasional adalah guna menaikan devisa negara, bagaimana caranya?
Melalui pertukaran perdagangan dengan cara mengimpor maupun mengekspor barang yang ada di dalam ke luar negeri dan begitu pula sebaliknya. Apabila devisa negara meningkat, maka akan menyebabkan beberapa hal ini.
2. Pertumbuhan ekonomi
Pertumbuhan ekonomi atau kenaikan produk nasional bruto (GDP) ini dihasilkan melalui faktor produksi milik warga negaranya yang tinggal di dalam maupun luar negeri dan warga negara yang tinggal di dalamnya maupun yang tinggal di luar negeri tidak termasuk dalam GDP, jadi hanya faktor produksinya saja.
3. Mempengaruhi stabilitas harga barang ekspor
Stabilitas harga yang dimaksud merupakan cara pemerintah mempertahankan harga ketika terjadi fenomena inflasi yang mulai meninggi. Inflasi sendiri merupakan peningkatan ketersediaan uang, sehingga dapat menyebabkan kenaikan harga barang.
4. Eksistensi tenaga kerja
Eksistensi tenaga kerja merupakan salah satu faktor yang dapat memengaruhi kelancaran dari segala tindakan yang berhubungan dengan pengadaan barang maupun jasa.
Pertumbuhan ekonomi yang terjadi di suatu negara dapat membuat perusahaan pengekspor akan menerima banyak pesanan, sehingga perusahaan akan membutuhkan tenaga kerja tambahan agar dapat menyelesaikan pesanan permintaan konsumen. Dengan menambah tenaga kerja, maka perusahaan tersebut juga membuka lapangan kerja baru yang dapat menyebabkan berkurangnya angka pengangguran di negara tersebut, sehingga dapat menguntungkan kedua belah pihak.
5. Memenuhi Kebutuhan di Negara Lain
Kerjasama perdagangan internasional dapat membuat negara lain yang tidak memiliki barang maupun jasa yang diinginkan menjadi terpenuhi. Contohnya, Indonesia merupakan salah satu negara di Asia yang mengolah kedelai menjadi tempe, berbeda dengan negara di Eropa maupun Amerika.
Oleh karena itu dengan menjalin kerja sama dengan negara-negara di Eropa maupun Amerika, negara tersebut dapat memenuhi kebutuhan pangan nabatinya, yaitu kedelai yang diolah menjadi tempe. Begitu pula sebaliknya.
Perdagangan internasional dilakukan dan disetujui oleh kedua negara yang bekerja sama untuk memenuhi kebutuhan yang ada di negara lain, ketika negara tersebut tidak dapat memproduksi kebutuhan yang dimaksud. Alasan tak dapat memproduksi kebutuhan tersebut bisa bermacam-macam salah satunya adalah iklim negara yang berbeda.
6. Memperoleh Keuntungan Internal serta Eksternal
Kebijakan perdagangan internasional ini tentu memiliki tujuan untuk mendapatkan keuntungan secara internal maupun eksternal. Seperti yang telah dijelaskan sebelumnya, negara tidak akan mampu untuk memenuhi kebutuhan penduduknya apabila negara tersebut tidak melakukan kerja sama dengan negara lain dan hanya mengandalkan dana atau anggaran dari pungutan pajak saja.
Oleh karena itu, untuk memenuhi kebutuhan penduduk, negara akan berusaha meraih keuntungan yang dapat diperoleh melalui persetujuan kerja sama perdagangan internasional antar negara.
Keuntungan internal yang dimaksud merupakan keuntungan yang dapat dimiliki oleh sebuah perusahaan, contohnya seperti keuntungan yang didapatkan melalui banyaknya pesanan permintaan barang atau jasa dari luar negeri.
Sedangkan keuntungan eksternal merupakan keuntungan spesialisasi yang diperoleh melalui fungsi dalam yang digunakan untuk mempertinggi keefektifan penggunaan faktor produksi.
7. Memperluas Pasar
Tujuan dari perdagangan internasional selanjutnya adalah untuk memperluas pasar. Perdagangan internasional memiliki tujuan agar sebuah perusahaan yang ada dalam negara tersebut dapat menjalankan mesin produksinya secara maksimal dan dapat menjual stock produknya tanpa perlu mengkhawatirkan kelebihan produksi yang dapat mengakibatkan turunnya harga produk maupun jasa yang dijual.
8. Transfer Teknologi Modern
Perdagangan internasional juga dilakukan demi memperoleh keuntungan dalam hal teknologi modern yang tidak bisa atau belum diproduksi atau diperoleh dari dalam negeri, sehingga membutuhkan kerja sama dengan pihak luar.
Transfer teknologi modern yang dimaksud dapat berupa mesin maupun vaksin seperti saat ini, Indonesia belum bisa memproduksi dan menguji keefektifan dari vaksin untuk virus Covid-19, sehingga negara lain memberikan vaksin hal produksinya untuk Indonesia dan lain sebagainya.

Dengan menjalin kerja sama antar negara, maka negara tersebut dapat membentuk relasi persahabatan dengan negara lain. Terbentuknya persahabatan antar negara tersebut juga memungkinkan perluasan kerja sama di bidang atau sektor lain seperti bidang budaya, politik hingga militer.
2. Dapat menciptakan efisiensi serta spesialisasi
Perdagangan internasional dapat membuat suatu negara memiliki spesialisasi di satu bidang ekonomi. Artinya, negara yang membangun kerja sama tersebut akan memiliki penduduk yang mempunyai keahlian khusus serta berbeda dari negara. Sehingga dapat menghasilkan produk maupun jasa yang bernilai jual dan dapat di ekspor ke negara lain.
3. Dapat meningkatkan kemakmuran negara
Kegiatan perdagangan internasional dapat membawa kemakmuran pada suatu negara yang menyetujui kerja sama tersebut. Indikator kemakmuran tersebut dapat dilihat melalui aktivitas pelaku ekonomi yang meliputi produsen, pemerintah serta konsumen.

- Terlalu bergantung pada iptek dan modal asing sehingga pertumbuhan industri terhambat.
- Persaingan industri yang tidak sehat membuat usaha yang bermodal kecil gulung tikar.

- Pengendalian pemerintah.

G. Faktor Penggerak Perdagangan Internasional
Perdagangan internasional bukan hanya seputar ekspor dan impor barang, tetapi penggunaan atau pemakaian jasa-jasa lain yang berkaitan dengan perdagangan, seperti pengangkutan, pembayaran, internasional, dan kebijakan pemerintah negara lain. 3. Terjadinya kelebihan produksi sehingga memerlukan perluasan usaha
Jika suatu negara mengalami kelebihan produksi (barang) maka barang itu lebih baik di jual ke negara lain. Siapa tahu saja negara lain sedang membutuhkan barang tersebut dan negara yang menjual kelebihan produksi akan mendapatkan keuntungan. Hal seperti ini bisa menjadi penggerak untuk melakukan perdagangan internasional.
4. Warga negara lain memiliki ketertarikan pada suatu produk yang sama

7. Memperluas pasar
Dengan memperluas pasar maka produksi dalam negeri bisa diekspor ke negara lain sehingga negara mendapatkan keuntungan yang bisa menjadi tambahan atau pemasukan ke kas negara. Oleh karena itu, setiap negara harus cermat dan teliti dalam melakukan perluasan pasar.
Dengan memperhatikan faktor-faktor penggerak itu maka perdagangan internasional dapat mendorong sebuah negara untuk menghasilkan produk yang spesial atau diunggulkan. H. Faktor Penghambat Perdagangan Internasional
Meskipun perdagangan internasional sudah ada sejak lama, tetapi perdagangan internasional masih menghadapi berbagai kendala. Pada umumnya, ada banyak faktor yang menyebabkan perdagangan internasional mengalami hambatan. Berikut faktor-faktor penghambat perdagangan internasional.
1. Nilai tukar yang berbeda
Setiap negara memiliki mata uangnya sendiri dan setiap mata uang memiliki sifat fluktuasi yang berdasarkan mekanisme pasar. Dengan demikian, mata uang yang dimiliki oleh suatu negara hanya berlaku di negara itu saja. Karena hal itulah transaksi dan pembayaran menjadi sulit dilakukan atau diwujudkan sehingga perdagangan internasional menjadi terhambat.
2. Kebijakan ekonomi internasional
Beberapa negara sudah menerapkan perdagangan bebas. Namun, jika ada suatu negara yang menerapkan kebijakan pembatasan impor maka perdagangan internasional menjadi terhambat. Dengan kata lain, kebijakan pembatasan impor bisa menjadi penghambat masuknya produk impor ke dalam negeri.
3. Terjadinya konflik pada suatu negara
