Hitawasana Studies On Indonesian Archaeology

This book consists of various articles with different themes about ancient cultural phenomena from all over Indonesia,such as Central Java,West Java,and Sumatra. This description mostly discusses the ancien Java,in particular Majapahit (14th-15th Centuries). These different themes are tied in one discipline, Indonesia Archeology. Two articles in one discipline, Indonesian Archeology. Two articles in the book are strongly felt to be important are Patirthan (literally translated as the Holy Waterspring) and the one about Lost Letters on the stone inscriptions.Other articles are new interpretations of the archeological data that the previous archeologists have discused,among others reading narrative reliefs of Borobodur Temple, Ancient Sundanese structures,and the ones about the symbolic meanings of Sriwijaya inscription placement in Sumatera.It is really expected that what is presented in this book can be accepted by those who have interests on ancient cultures in Indonesian.
